Road – Boise to Vancouver

By August 1, 2014 Travel

It was a long driving day from Boise, Idaho to Vancouver, Washington (just north of Portland, Oregon). We stopped only briefly in Baker City in eastern Oregon for fuel and lunch, and again in Biggs (a strange junction town) for fuel and treats before finally finding a place to stop for the night. It was a super hot day with temperatures reaching over 100 degrees. It was also a day in which the terrain transformed from high desert to lush green river valley – the drive down the Columbia River around Hood River was beautiful. The RV Park wasn’t fancy or in the nicest part of town, but it worked for us to have a couple night’s rest, visit friends and hang out in PDX.
